NDNA AWARDS 2018

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What do I do if I haven’t received my registration email?

A) Check your spam/ junk folder and wait 30 minutes, if you still haven’t received it after this time call us on 01484 407070 or email awards@ndna.org.uk

2. What do I do if my confirmation link does not work?

A) If you are unable to confirm your registration via the link sent by email, call us on 01484 407070 or email awards@ndna.org.uk

3. Who can vote?

A) Only parents or carers of registered nursery children can vote for the awards.

4. How many times can I vote per award?

A) Only one vote per parent of a registered nursery child is permitted per award.  If there are two children, then the parent/carer can submit two votes by using a separate email address per child when registering.

5. What do I do if my evidence does not upload to the website?

A) If you are unable to upload your evidence via the website, you can email the document to awards@ndna.org.uk stating the nursery details and award the evidence is supporting.

6. I won an award last year; can I enter the same award this year?

A) Award winners from the previous year cannot enter the same award the following year.  Award winners can enter a different award.

7. If I change my mind, can I remove my registration for an award?

A) Yes, you can register and unregister for an award after submission in your online account.

8. Do I have to register for all the awards I want to enter at one go?

A) No. You can return at any time and add new awards to your registration.

9. I missed registering in December and January.  Is it still worth doing?

A) Yes. Many nurseries do not enter until March. You still have time to ask your parents to vote and don’t forget we base our decisions on the quality of evidence as well as the number of parent votes.

10. I haven’t had an Ofsted inspection yet as my nursery is less than 3 years old.  Can I enter?

A) Yes. We take this into account.

11. How do you select the awards finalists winners?

A) All entries are checked by NDNA’s shortlisting committee for Ofsted inspection rating, number of votes (where applicable), quality of nursery submission, comments and testimonials from parents.  A list of finalists is compiled and then further information is sought either by email, telephone, interview or a face-to-face visit to put before our judging panel.

12. What if I disagree with a decision made by the shortlisting committee or have a complaint?

A) You can email us at awards@ndna.org.uk and we will respond within 7 days.
NDNA has a complaints policy which you can ask to see and it reserves the right to withdraw any nursery from the awards process if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that concerns have been raised, including but not limited to:

  • Safeguarding/child protection
  • Unlawful behaviour
  • Fraudulent voting
  • Deliberate attempt to manipulate the result.

It's getting exciting
